Hi all,

it looks like we have a sister foundation:
http://openhardwarefoundation.org/

They too have started a mailing list last November, and I recommend you to have
a look at its archive:
http://mail.openhardwarefoundation.org/pipermail/ohf-licenses_openhardwarefoundation.org/
It contains only a couple of mails, the exchange between 2 board members. They
are entirely focusing on licensing issues -- something that hasn't been brought
up on our list yet. The discussion is very instructive and arrives at a 'Concept
draft of "Open Hardware Public License"'
http://mail.openhardwarefoundation.org/pipermail/ohf-licenses_openhardwarefoundation.org/2008-January/000006.html

Reading through their exchange, I find the parallels to our legal issues are
striking. In fact, to me as lay-person, it looks as if we could adopt the same
(proposed) legal strategy, if not the very same license. I think, the basic
problem is identical and, as far as I am concerned, the aim is also identical.

Is any of the legal experts listening on this list (which would not have been
very fruitful, so far, I suppose...)?

Greetings,
Raik
