ISCB, the International Society for Computational Biologists is
holding its major meeting,
ISMB 2008 in Toronto July 18-23rd. As stated on their web site:

                                            www.iscb.org/events/
event_data.php?691

SMB 2008 provides a multidisciplinary forum for disseminating the
latest developments in bioinformatics.
ISMB 2008 will bring together over 2000 international scientists
from the fields of computer science, molecular
biology, molecular medicine, mathematics, and statistics. The
conference will focus on the development and
application of advanced computational methods for biological
problems.

For those of you who don't know about this conference, participating
groups run large biological information databases, have large
modeling activities, and ontology projects. The primary focus of the
groups tends to be learning about biological systems through
computational biology, but this is the place to learn more about
existing protocols and systems for sharing biological information
between computes.

This is an expensive conference and their deadline for discounted
registration is June 1st.
